Truman is proud to have 21 men's and women's varsity athletic teams that compete in the NCAA Division II and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Conference.

Stokes Stadium is the home of Bulldog football and the men's and women's track teams. Recent additions have been field turf and new stadium lighting.

The natatorium houses a 6-lane, 25-yard swimming pool. Students on campus are able to use the facility during open swim hours and both the men's and women's swim teams practice here. The women's swim team has won the national championship seven out of the last eight years.

Pershing Arena has three courts and his home to the women's volleyball team and the men's and women's basketball teams.

Over the past decade, Truman has produced the 2nd highest number of Academic All-Americans in Division II athletics according to ESPN the magazine.

In addition to varsity athletics, Truman is proud to host team and individual intramural sports as well as numerous club sports. Club teams include men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's rugby, and roller hockey.

The Student Recreation Center provides a contemporary facility designed and built based upon student input. There are many aerobic, dance, and fitness classes that are offered at no cost to students.

In addition to an aerobics studio, the Rec Center has four full-sized athletic courts, an indoor track, many pieces of exercise equipment, and a large weight room.

The Rec Center has diverse programming and also offers the services of fitness trainers to establish a personalized workout plan.
