Truman is in the middle of a multi-phase construction and renovation project for all of its residence halls. The construction began with West Campus Suites in 2005 and is continuing with renovation to Ryle Hall. This means that four of Truman's residence halls are now updated to better meet student's needs.

Around half of Truman's student body lives in its residence halls. There is a variety of on-campus living options for students with community style, semi-suite style, and suite style residences.

Missouri Hall is home to Casa Hispanica, a Spanish-speaking immersion program, and Le Coin Français, a French-speaking immersion program. They are located in the Romance Languages House, creating Truman's first-ever multilingual residential group.

Missouri Hall, Ryle Hall, and Centennial Hall have dining halls. Students have varying options on meal plans, and they are able to eat in any of these residence halls as well as Mainstreet Market in the Student Union Building, and in various C-Stores.

The Residence Life office has a support staff located in the residence halls. The student advisors are responsible for community programming and are there to help students adjust to college life.

Each residence hall is a modern living facility with wireless and Ethernet internet access, cable tv, computer stations, laundry facilities, kitchenettes, and lounge spaces.

Truman's residence hall options are as diverse as the students who live within them. With seven residence halls and three apartment complexes, these living spaces range from a small, home-like facility housing just 68 students to a bustling building with over 600 residents. The various living environments are designed to offer you a supportive, safe, and fun place to live and learn.
